Executive Development for Tourism

International tourism is undergoing a transformation in how it is developed, marketed and managed – driven by rapidly changing visitor expectations. With these parameters in place, Fáilte Ireland, working collaboratively with the Irish Management Institute, has created a new Executive Development Programme for senior level hospitality & tourism managers entitled ‘Hospitality and Tourism - Executive Development Programme’.
For Further Information and to discuss the programme, please contact: Michael Brady, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Full details are available on:  http://www.failteireland.ie/Supports/Get-Brexit-Ready/People-Capability.aspx
This modular programme is designed for General Managers and Senior Departmental Managers who are ambitious and are looking to acquire the competencies they need to strategically lead their business/organisation. Being the first of its kind, the Programme has been specifically tailor-made for the Irish market where it will give senior level managers in the tourism industry a grounding in key areas (including Strategy, Leadership, Sales & Marketing & Finance); and aid them in developing a strategic implementation plan to guide their business performance into the future.
Commenting on the programme, Martina Bromley, Head of Enterprise & Hospitality Development with Fáilte Ireland, said:
“To address the challenges posed by the uncertainties of the tourism sector, organisations require executives with real leadership and managerial competencies. For tourism managers to be successful they must have a comprehensive understanding of this changing environment and have a definitive plan for the future.  We would encourage businesses to sign up for the new Executive Development Programme to help them guide their business into the future.”
Interested participants are encouraged to complete a selection barometer to help the panel of experts assess the level of readiness and suitability for this strategic Executive Development Programme.  To check if this Programme is suitable for you, taking into account your experience and knowledge, please complete this Barometer .
Fáilte Ireland are subsiding the total cost of the Executive Development Programme by 50%, the fee for this is normally €5000, consequently, the net fee for successful applicants is now €2,500.  The programme will be delivered over seven modules during a 6-month period starting in January 2018. Each module is typically 1 -1 ½ days in total and will be held in Irish Management Institute, Sandyford, Dublin
