1.26m Dublin passengers in August

The number of passengers using Dublin Airport in August slumped by over 60% compared to pre-Covid-19 levels.dublinairport0421
New figures show that almost 1,260,000 passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in August, down 63% on 2019 levels.
Passenger volumes to and from Continental Europe fell by 54% with 865,000 passengers travelling to European destinations last month.
UK traffic in August declined by 72% compared to pre-pandemic levels as 257,000 passengers went to and from Britain.
Meanwhile, passenger volumes to and from North America decreased by 77%, as 111,000 passengers travelled on transatlantic routes in August.


#And the number of passengers on domestic routes was down by 65%, with 4,300 passengers travelling within the country last month.
Today's figures also show that over 2.9 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport in the first eight months of this year.
Dublin Airport said this represented a decrease of 87% when compared to pre-Covid levels in 2019.
