Killarney Hotels report loss

Killarney Hotels which operates  The Europe Hotel & Resort and Dunloe Castle Hotel, along with the Hotel Ard na Sidhe has reported a loss for its most recent financial year..


Accounts filed by the Swiss-owned firm to the Companies Office show that the group recorded a pre-tax loss of €7.6m last year. A major contributor to the loss was a non-cash depreciation charge of €6.95m
This followed a pre-tax loss of €36.9m in 2012 that mainly arose from a €28m property write-down.
Revenues at the hotel group last year increased by 14pc from €10.69m to €12.18m.
Turnover at the group has increased by 43pc since 2011 when revenues of €8.49m were recorded.
