The project, led by proprietor Padraig McGillicuddy now tops the total investment in the property since he took over at the helm in 2003 at the age of 28 to €16 million euro.
Under the leadership of Padraig, a third generation hotelier, the property has evolved and grown to become a 64 bedroom property which now sits on 25 acres of land.
The first project undertaken by Padraig in the mid 00’s was the addition of the purpose built Spa facility ‘Nádúr’ the first of its kind in North Kerry, as well as the addition of 18 guest bedrooms and the upgrading and addition to the banqueting kitchen.
During the late 00’s with banqueting a key segment within the property, Padraig invested heavily in this area with the addition of The Pavilion at Ballygarry House- a pre wedding drinks reception venue which doubled as a private meeting room space mid-week.
The latest project, saw Padraig purchase the lands surrounding the hotel to facilitate this development.
