Food journalist Sonia Peronaci, is visiting the Taste of West Cork Food Festival this week, as a guest of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.

Sonia is a cook, writer, presenter and the founder of one of Italy’s most popular cooking websites, Giallo Zafferano. She is extremely influential – with a combined following of around 922,000 on social platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube) and with around 150,000 visits each month to her new website. She’s been capturing, and then sharing, lots of great photos and footage at the festival and around West Cork this week.
During her time here, Sonia attended various festival events – including a pop-up dinner at Mews Restaurant in Baltimore, created by a team from the Michelin-starred Heron & Grey restaurant; and ‘A Food Blast Off Taste Extravaganza’ in Pilgrim’s in Rosscarbery, created by Assasination Custard restaurant. She also visited the Skibbereen Farmers’ Market and some of the superb food producers in West Cork – including Ummera Irish Smokehouse in Timoleague and Twomey’s Butchers in Clonakilty; and some local tourist attractions, including Drombeg stone circle near Glandore, Bantry House and the Mizen Head Signal Station.
