Charity Tea for ISPCC

The annual Afternoon Tea at The Morrison in aid of ISPCC has just celebrated its 5th year and has grown in popularity each year. 2018 saw over 140 guests raise nearly

€9,500 through tickets sales and a raffle. The Morrison Hotel donates 100% of the proceeds, which has seen the hotel raise over €30,000 for the children’s charity over the years.

ISPCC CEO John Church said: “The ISPCC is very much reliant on public and corporate donations to enable us to continue to be there for children, young people and their families when they seek support. We are hugely grateful, therefore, to all the team at The Morrison Hotel, and to those who attend this fantastic annual Afternoon Tea event, for the generosity and dedication they have shown in raising over €30,000 for our services over the last five years. Every cent through this event raised goes directly to helping the ISPCC to make a difference in the lives of children and young people in Ireland.”

Patrick Joyce, GM of The Morrison said: “I’m incredibly proud of the Morrison staff who planned, organised and ran these fun and worthy Afternoon Teas. By completely covering the costs, we ensure that every penny raised goes towards making a really important difference to the incredible service that the ISPCC offers.”

Each year, guests are treated to a cocktail reception and their choice of either the Fancy Pants Afternoon Tea or the more robust Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea, followed by an afternoon of games such as Pass the Parcel, a fun raffle, giveaways and live music, traditionally courtesy of Morrison favourites The Luna Boys.
