Miguel A. Torres, head of the Spanish wine dynasty has chosen his son Miguel Torres Maczassek as his successor.
The succession will flow from an announcement that the younger Miguel will become general manager of the Torres Group next
September when his father celebrates his 71st. birthday. Migual A Torres will continue to hold the position of Group President.
Meanwhile his daughter Mireia Torres Maczasseck is to remain in her post as general manager of the family's Jean Leon and Torres Priorat companies, but her prospects of being the first woman to head the family business seem to have evaporated.
Miguel Jnr. is currently running the Torres wine business in Chile, but will return to Spain in September.
